Free Printable Woodland Animals

These woodland animal coloring pages cover the creatures kids are most likely to actually spot on a walk in the woods or even in their own backyard: bears, foxes, deer, squirrels, and raccoons. Every page here uses one bold, simple outline with no small interior details, so young children can color confidently without getting frustrated by fiddly shapes. Each animal comes with a couple of real, kid-friendly facts printed right on its page - why squirrels accidentally plant forests, how a grey fox climbs trees, why a grizzly bear stands up on two legs - turning a coloring activity into a small nature lesson along the way.

Every printable downloads as both a PNG and a print-ready PDF in A4 and US Letter sizes, with no sign-up required. They work well as a stand-alone quiet-time activity, as part of a classroom forest-animals or nature unit, or paired with a real trip to a park or nature trail to spot the animals afterward.
